Bio
I was raised and educated in Northern California and trained in the Bay
Area before moving to Eugene in the late 70’s.
And I’ve been here ever since.
After supervising the
Clinical Laboratory for a local hospital for many years, I spent some years
travelling around Oregon as a Laboratory Consultant. A love for microbiology brought me back into
the laboratory with Public Health, and for a number of years, I split my time
between that and part-time work here at the University Health Center. In 1998,
the Health Center made me an offer I couldn’t refuse, and I’ve been at the
microscopes here ever since. In 2004, I
accepted the position of Laboratory Manager / Clinical Laboratory Supervisor.
